"Preview" is the general term I use, to refer to all the public pages in
the main directory of fire-serpent.com, including the free preview lessons,
the realplayer technical info, the FAQ, the registration and email pages, etc.

In addition to the lesson links, Fire-serpent.com also has a regular
links page, like any other site. Part of its purpose is promotion via
reciprocal links.

You will find a partly repaired version at the update pages. I started
working on it, but didn't finish. Found weird stuff. Got distracted. ***

*** A fuller explanation:
Annually, or less often, I google my own name and domain names, and
find out who is linking to my sites, so I can be polite and link back to
theirs. Sometimes they are weird and not kundalini related, so "Reciprocal
links" have a special section in the main links page.

Sometimes I will thank them and let them know I am giving them a
reciprocal link, hence the sig file for it. If I am feeling outgoing I
might ask them to also link to my other domains.

It is always an odd experience googling my domains, because while it is
nice to see people linking to me, I usually also end up finding how often I
am misunderstood. I have encountered pages describing me as everything from
psychotic and deluded, to a transgendered prostitute. I end up either
getting pissed and flaming them, or idly wondering what the hell is going
on in their head, and that makes empathy with them, and that gets
messy... Better for someone else to do it...

Less often, every few years when I am PMSing and feeling paranoid or
possessive, I'll do searches on random phrases from my pages, or an image
title to see if anyone is breaking my copyright.
I sometimes find the FST logo being stolen, or other material being
reproduced without consent. Usually it is innocuous, a page being reprinted
on a bulletin board, with copyright and link.

Occasionally it is possibly damaging. I recall one page from a psycho
guy who thought all triangles were evidence of Satanic, Masonic
conspiracy. FST having a triangle, a pentacle and a snake on it was rich
food for his delusions... and he was linking to a video, stealing
bandwidth... which my bizz partner at the time, objected to.

<shrug> For the most part, I figure "any publicity is good publicity"
and do not address my detractors... but I draw the line at the grounding
or the FST logo being misused.

Yes, please repair the updated ones, at www.fire-serpent.org/fscnew/,
not the old version at fire-serpent.com.

It will just have to limp along a while longer! What is broken on it,
has been broken since it was last moved... and I think it is best to give
attention to the updated version instead, get it online asap... especially
the new preview.

However, it does come down to, which versions is Sachiko done with?
Sachiko, can you give us regular updates, as you go? Let us know what pages
you are done with and/or what pages you have not started on? Either way...

I find it useful to make a sitemap of all the pages of a site, and make
it into a "Work" file where I make notes on the status of each page, and
gradually cross them off.
Here is a very old one for FST so you can see what I mean.

Here is one from when I was working on the KSN site. It has code snippets
too.

Right now my focus is on managing helpers, and working on my book. I
will review the content of each lesson after your work is done and the
other bits of it are repaired...

that way maybe I will get feedback from the helpers about each lesson
and how it could be better or clearer? :) Onward and upward!

I totally know what you mean! I really appreciate it, actually. I have
enough scarcity consciousness about my own time, for sure do not want to
waste anyone else's!

I once asked one of my Priestesses, who works writing manuals, if she
would turn Fire Serpent Tantra into a book... it was still under
construction, at the time. I gave her access so she could look at it and
tell me what she thought of it...
I assumed she would have questions about exactly what I wanted, and knew
to wait till I was finished writing it. I was asking well in advance of
being actually ready to publish.
Instead she got back to me with the book done, warts, unfinished
unedited essays and all, and saved as a PDF file... No way for me to edit
or update it, it was 8.5 x11 and used the same big fonts and title gifs as
the web page... I felt bad, she worked so hard on it and it was completely
useless. She had not kept the doc file she made it from.

I hope my frustration at Sue manifesting as my deja vu nightmare come
back to haunt me, did not discourage anyone from volunteering or asking
questions. It is better to ask questions if you are not clear than to forge
ahead in the wrong direction.
Got to aim that laser carefully! :)
