[Helpers] Earth & Sky energy.

There are only two kinds of energy. One which is the air-sun energy,
which is referred to as chi, or ki, or prana, and then there is also the
Kundalini Shakti energy, which is the energy of cosmic consciousness.

Most folks approach spirituality on a sky path. Sky energy is called
"Prana" or "Chi" or "Orgone"... there are many names for it, and a Martial
arts Master can show you a good example of what Chi can do. Building up
the power of chi to break a ton of ice with his forehead, or shatter a
stone with his hand. Chi can be increased by breathing and
visualizations. There is more of it on a forest or a mountaintop and that
is why it feels so good to be there.

If you have an open third eye, you can actually see the prana particles in
the air. You may have noticed sometimes if you look at a bright blue sky,
snow, or the air around a tree; there are a lot of tiny swirling comets
that seem to wink in and out of existence. Those are prana particles, and
the trees make them out of sunlight. That is why humans feel good in the
forest, because we need the chi of trees, and that is why we need the trees.

Science may try to tell you that what you are seeing is the blood moving
through the back of your eyes. However, if you observe the phenomena for
yourself, you will notice that there are more prana sparkles around a tree
than a building or telephone pole. More sparkles around a charged magical
object than around a mundane item. More prana in a forest than a shopping
mall. You may also notice than when the energy is high, they swirl bright
and quickly, and when there is less energy, they will be less bright and
more sluggish in their movements.

Chi is the ambient life energy that things are made out of. It is used a
lot in martial arts, like Tai Chi, and in energy work like Chi-gong or
Reiki. It is used in many different forms of healing. The more chi you
have the healthier you will be. More life energy means more life!

Chi energy is not intelligent: it needs to be directed. When a Kung Fu
master is ordering his chi to break a river stone in half with his hand, he
is the directing the chi, he is telling it what to do. Reiki is Chi that
is being directed by symbols implanted into the healer via initiation. Chi
can be affected by human thought. We can change it; direct it and we can
alter what it does.

Most magic that is done by spells and will power uses the power of Chi. Chi
is the slave of free will, it does not judge what use you make of it, any
more than sunlight does.

Kundalini Shakti is the Cosmic Consciousness of the universe. Nobody tells
Kundalini what to do. The Shakti has its own intelligence that is
infinitely wiser than any human being. You can ask it nicely, but you
cannot control the Shakti energy. Rather, you set aside your free will and
invite Goddess to have Her way with you, because She is infinite wisdom and
unconditional love.

Therefore, when we are working with chi, to invoke healing, or when we are
opening and drawing the light down inside of us, we're using an energy that
needs to be told what to do. It needs to be controlled. If you just send
it out, it will feel good, but it will not serve any particular purpose.

Whereas, when I am radiating the Shakti energy, I do not tell it what to
do. I just become that, be nothing, and its own wisdom makes it take
whatever form is needed by the recipient. Since I am not directing it, I do
not know what form it takes. It is the unconscious of the person who
receives it, and their own Divine guidance that decides what that Shakti
shows up as.

So for some circumstances, like the grounding site, where I'm sending out
Shakti on a higher self level of surrender, I don't actually know how
people are affected by that, unless they write back and tell me, because
that's not up to me.

It is the Shakti that we surrender to, because it is so much wiser than we
are. It is the wisdom of the infinite that is outside of time.

Whereas the prana, the chi energy, we just open it up and we let it in. It
is the vibration of sunlight, as opposed to the earth energy that comes up
from below.

Beyond being two types of energy, Chi and Shakti represent two different
paths, the Sky God Sun chi path, and the Kundalini: an Earth Goddess, Lunar
path.

This course is a genuinely Matrifocal tradition. Seeing the Goddess in the
moon, and the Earth, and as the Great Void that holds all the stars,
including our own Sun.

The space that surrounds the Sun is the womb/yoni of the Goddess. Those who
are dazzled by the Light never see Her... they do not hear Her voice... yet
She pulls their strings and designs their DNA.

She is the Dreamtime, the dark before creation outside of time, that is
hidden between the particles of matter that are made of light. She is the
void that begat the Big Bang. The dark of the Tao.

In Genesis it says that from out of the void came a voice that said, "Let
there be Light". We associate "God" with the light, and chi with
light, but Goddess is the Voice that spoke the Logos (word) and created
the Light. One way of thinking of it: the God is the stuff, the light.
Goddess, consciousness is the spaces between.

It is binary: zero and one.
Goddess the nothing void= zero. Consciousness.
Her child the God of Light = one. Matter.

The Tarot card of the *Magician* is numbered 1. Unity with the Light of the
Godhead. Individuals on the path of the Magician, stop there thinking that
they are done.

That light is prana, chi. It is the light of the Father, and it does not
judge what use you make of it. It obeys the whims of Free Will. Shiva
doesn't care what his children do, he just shines his light on them all to
"do as thou Wilt shall be the whole of the law", as Crowley put it.
Unconditional love: the Sun shines on saint and sinner both.

Much is made in Western Culture about "God's will"... but if you get to
know the Male principle thru unity with the Light, you will discover that
he has no Will, to speak of. Chi doesn't judge what use you make of it.
God may be the figurehead, but Goddess is the "power behind the
Throne". He serves Her will for Creation. He won't tell you that, unless
you know to ask. By the same token, many of the sensations caused by
Kundalini are caused by feeling Shakti directing chi, within you.

When your heart voice is opened, ask for yourself... don't take my word for
it. Build faith by experience.

Unity with the Solar Principle is one level of enlightenment and some say
it can be attained without Kundalini. Those who seek power for it's own
sake, stop there with the discovery that God doesn't judge. Kundalini can
take you beyond that...

Kundalini is Shakti... the consciousness behind evolution, creation...
wisdom. She has a mind of Her own, and desires Limitless manifestation. She
is Sophia Goddess of limitless wisdom. Shakti hears your prayers and
respects your free will but She is Mother who won't bend Her power to your
weenie ego will, unless it aligns with Her will for you, to evolve and know
yourself.

To come to Her. You must abandon your own free will, utterly, and align
yourself with Hers, then you can hear Her.

The power of chi is miraculous, but limited. The power of Shakti is
infinite, but it is invoked by surrender to Divine Will, aligning yourself
with Goddess' will for you. You do not control the Shakti, you become a
vessel of it.

To bring that light down and experience unity with All that Is, in the here
and now of daily being, and not just in meditation, one gives love to the
dark Goddess and steps into the void to ascend and become the Tarot card of 0.

The cosmic Fool, frozen forever outside of time, outside of the fears and
cares of duality with one foot in the void... led by the little dog barking
that is the voice of the instincts... how Shakti speaks thru the coils of
your DNA..

I don't know why it is, but people often presume me to be a fan of Aliester
Crowley. I've never been a fan of "the Beast," as he was known in Victorian
England when he was alive. Crowley was a Magician who wrote several books,
and died in 1947. He was a member of the Golden Dawn. The Golden Dawn
descended from the Rosicrucians/Freemasons who descended from the Egyptian
Mystery Schools who worshipped the sun God Ra because his cyclic movements
caused the flooding of the Nile. It is referred to as a "Solar" patriarchal
tradition.

Many Wiccans, by contrast, work with a "Lunar" tradition, Focusing on
the Moon Goddess as primary because of Her effects on the tides, women's
bodies, and human minds.

Crowley believed that a woman's body is the Altar of the Magician, and he
had female Priestesses, but his Priestesses were not allowed to speak.
Crowley was projecting the Void onto them, but did not allow them to
speak... he believed the Goddess had no voice. He worshipped the Goddess
Babylon, but as a slave to his will. He felt the Goddess is silent, and I
can only guess he didn't listen hard enough. She speaks!

Women have 10x the spiritual energy that men do... we need it, for
procreation. Women repress their own power to be small enough to please
the egos of Patriarchal men. Trying to funnel women's power thru a male
vessel is trying to put 10 pounds of power in a one-pound sack. Something
has to give, and what went was the women's minds. Several of his
Priestesses ended up in the mental hospital, which really was a terrible
fate in Victorian England, psychiatry was still being invented. This would
suggest that his ideas are not healthy, but he still has plenty of
followers worldwide.

I have met a very few enlightened "Thelmites" as they are called, but
most of them misinterpret the primary laws. They hear "Do what thou wilt,
shall be the whole of the law" from the power chakra and think it is about
the will of ego: Do whatever you want. It is really about acting
from non-duality, the crown chakra, where there is no ego and Divine Will
is all.

Crowley also borrowed from yoga of the East, which sees Shiva (Sun God as
Penis light sabre) as the Active principle and Shakti as the black infinite
void womb space where creation happens.

Sometimes it is helpful to know a bit of history, when interpreting
spiritual ideas. Remember in Victorian England they did not know about DNA,
or about the female egg. It was believed that the womb was just emptiness
and the child came entirely from sperm. Women's power to give birth is the
oldest mystery of the Divine Feminine, but patriarchy gave the power of
life creation to the male, and replaced women's moon blood mysteries with
sacrifice and warfare.

The body mind is a trillion times more intelligent than the ego and it can
create bliss if the ego gets out of its way... but Free Will is Goddess
law... the body mind bows to the ego, to create reality tunnels of beliefs
until the ego learns the hard lessons of "be careful what you pray for",
realizes it cannot see all the ripples of any action and asks to be rescued
from wanting.

One who is too enamoured of the power trap of the Magician, is busy making
more Karma and is not likely to find the humility to ascend to become the
Cosmic fool. In falling for the trap of Ego and silencing his Priestesses,
Crowley repressed his own unconscious body-mind... his own Fem side, the
true source of his power. He needed to surrender to the silence of the
Void within himself, to attain the Fool... but the Karma he created as
Magician made that option impossible for him.

Always seeking balance. I like to know where the edges are, so I can find
the middle path.

Homework

- As you continue with grounding, start to notice the difference between
the sky energy coming down into your crown, and the energy you get from the
centre of the Earth. Sky Father, Earth Mother. Notice whether the energy
feels different if you assign it gender.

- Experiment with looking at the air around trees, on a sunny day. It is
good practice to begin opening your third eye. Once you start to see the
prana comets, you may start to see the energy field that is the life force
of the tree, as well. The tree's aura. Notice, that you see the prana when
you focus on the "nothing" empty space around the tree, more than when you
are looking at the tree itself.

- Continue with the homework from the Matriarchy lesson, noticing your
ideas about gender, spirituality, and the Divine.

- Spend some time thinking about the binary nature of reality, the
something and the nothing. The stuff and the spaces between. Notice how
often the space is as important as the stuff...

What's that on the road ahead?
What's that on the road, a head?

Experiences

In his Graduation essay, T wrote:

This lesson is most fascinating. For years, I have felt a tangible force
at work in nature. I take to the mountains often and wondered why it felt
so good to be there and bask in this energy. Learning that it was called
chi led me to study and practice chi kung, yoga, and energy work.

Learning about Shakti was new for me in a way. I liken Shakti as God's
power and I love how you explain it as "God may be the figure head, but
Goddess is the power behind the throne." Love it!
It is fascinating to learn the differences between chi or prana and Shakti
energy. The former being without intellect and directed by will, and the
latter, undirected and with an infinite mind of itself, the one we
surrender to. Very interesting.

: Greetings All!

: I recently signed on to the FST course, and I've come upon my first
question that I wasn't able to answer completely via Google... :)

Welcome, Ted!
: Question: In the "Earth & Sky Energy" Lesson,
Mystress gives examples of:

: Earth path & energy - Tantra & Kundalini
: Sky path & energy - Martial Arts & Chi

: What are the esoteric paths & forms of energy for Water, Fire & Ether?

: I have some ideas, but I'd like to hear your views...

You are not the first person to ask about this, so I guess that
essay is not clear and needs an edit.

That essay is not about the various paths, of the elements, so much as
the two primary forms that energy takes, and how we relate to them. How the
energies often feel when you do the grounding. More properly expressed, the
binary of 1 and 0. Free Will and surrender. Something and nothing. Chi is
something... light. Goddess is nothing. Void from which creation sprang.

All energy is some form or combination of the thing and the space it
occupies. The spaces between the stars and between the subatomic particles.
We define the *things* in so many ways, elements, etc. while seldom
considering the space, just as most people never wonder if there is more to
them, than their ego.
The essay is binary, it is about the duality of free will and Divine
will. You are asking me to explain it in multiplicity. Does not really
apply. Black and white, not colour.

The reference to fire is a side comment... K. is a fire path because
it is about sudden, fiery fast transmutation: the fire Serpent is a symbol
for K.
What is fire itself? It is the action of alchemy. Not listed on the
modern periodic table of elements. Not a thing, but a specific activity, a
alchemical reaction that turns matter into light!

When all of your karma stuff is burnt away, transmuted back into
light that flows, then you... your ego.. becomes nothing but a transparent
lens of Goddess/dharma/Spirit experiencing being human in linearity.
Nothing but the Nothing that gave us birth. That is Self Realization.

Having said that, I can speak a little about other paths. TM, for
example would be a water path. Simply reciting the mantra and becoming
nothing for 1/2 hour 2x a day, the flow of spiritual energy gradually
washes karma away, like water eroding stone. Yet... water has an oxidation
effect on iron, and that too is a type of alchemy: rust is created by a
type of fire.

Sorry if this explanation is not clear.. Kundalini and Goddess both,
are really impossible to define in words. I give your ego some stories to
make it easier to surrender, but these are metaphors. A way to try to
define patterns in words. They can never fully define what Is.. and is
not!

: I'm enjoying the course very much!

Good!
