You can keep your font and colors for three different stages.

I  like that idea.
I can help you with the file re-naming. I just need to figure out and
get the picture of site map will be. I'm not sure at this point how
each page is constructed.

Once I know how each files need to be linked to each other then
I think I can rename the file with no problem.

You are right SSI does not work on local browsing. I was thiking about
that. If it was my site, I would just keep the footer for each page
without using SSI.

wow! I just got an idea poped up in my head!
You can create the footer in Flash, too. And paste it on the each
page as a flash file footer. So that when it needs to be altered, 
youcan
just make changes in flash file and uploaded as same file name.

If the left side menu will be done by flash then footer menu can also 
be
done by flash to keep them consistent too.

I just need to figure out if those SSI below works in flash or not, 
though...

As far as Mac & Win version goes, atleast for the html files, it's 
only
a matter of the testing on mac browser to make sure they look fine.
html works same on both platform, but the browser for each platform
has slightly different version. Other wise there should be no chage is
need to make between Win and Mac version.
