The meditation audio mp3 files are up on the FTP now! They are 128kps mp3. Since some of the meditations are pretty long, the long chakra color meditations are nearly 30 minutes in length, they take up a bit of space anyway. Since it's mostly of speech, I can probably squeeze it down to 64kps and it will still be reasonable, but fidelity will be lost. I would recommend that you listen them through before you post them in any of the lessons, to make sure I haven't missed anything or performed any editing bloopers. There's almost always something that needs adjusting in the first version. :) They include: * Grounding meditation, approximately 7 minutes in length *Earth heart meditation, 2 minute introduction with no ending (The listener slides back up when he/she is ready as part of the instructions) * Soul meditation, 6-7 minutes in length, introductory meditation * Chakracolor meditation - short Introductory version, 19-20 minutes long * Chakracolor meditation - long 30 minutes long, longer spaces * Chakracolor meditation with bells (Performed by MAS, combined with a few electronic sweetening sounds), followed by some music in the end with some grounding frequencies in a deep C after the session itself is done. :) *A couple of Void meditations are also up, one introduction and one with 15 minute stillness. I should have a first example video ready sometime this week. There are some issues. DVD compressed files are very slow to edit, so I am converting them to a faster video format, which has much less picture quality and uncompressed audio. Then when I am done editing, I will replace the data with the full file. This is standard procedure. :) The video and audio sync seems to be somewhat off in most of the files. Although with faster editing (on the smaller files) I should be able to adjust it fairly easily. I will write a full report with the first video. :) Namaste! The first sample video is now up on the FTP, you can find it in the gustaf folder and it's called Videostape3_2_Libido.avi I've compressed it in Divx format. It's quick to use and gives high quality with little artifacts. I don't think it can be streamed though, but it's good for view/preview purposes. I've halved the resolution from the DVD so the file is reasonable in size (It's video-CD size & format) I've done the following: * Noise reduction on the audio (I may have overdone it a bit, there are some faint artifacts, I may go over it again to make sure its optimum. The original sound is very sharp, metallic and the noisefloor is very hissy, so it definitely needs some washing * Compressor & Light roomtone on the audio. To be heard well on small multimedia speakers (as well as with better clarity on a hi-fi system), the dynamics of the voice is evened out a bit. It's standard procedure, I have been fairly gentle with it to not squash it too much, like they tend to do with TV-commercials. The roomtone is very subtle, but gives the sound a slight stereo effect for clearer presence. * Intro. I have done a new intro with the FSTCD picture and lesson title sliding in. Also instead of images popping in and out, I selected short smooth fades & crossfades between the events. This is a suggested intro with what I have currently, please let me know if you want it changed in any way, and give me links for the material you would like me to use * Video fadeout at the end. If you want I can add a small copyright text on the green-blue background in the end.. If you do, provide me with the text you need. Do you want any changes to the picture style itself? Is it too bright, dark, saturated, etc? Let me know what you would like to see done, and I will do my best. Until I hear back, I'll keep preparing lessons and continuing to keep notes. Some files have skipped frames. This causes a bunch of problems with video&audio sync. I can manually either duplicate frames to fill in or squash/edit the audio dialogue to match up. It means extra work, but if there is no other way to do it, I'll take care of it at the best of my ability.. Not sure if it comes from the DV tape copy or if it is an artifact in the original tape itself. I will render these as well and put them up on the FTP. I found a more gentle and less destructive noisereduction method, so it will sound a lot better now! "Finished with temp intro" means I have added the text and logo and fades like I did with the example lesson. Any changes needed to be done will be easy to multiply on all the lessons. All the slides, text etc are all realtime markers, so I can make any adjustments you want very quickly and re-render. Namaste!
