Hello, 2 Sandras, Gustaf, Sue, Tommy!

How delightful to return from the Calgary workshop and see you all
subscribed. Goddess blessings on you! I am very grateful for your help, I
really am quite overwhelmed trying to do everything myself.

Makes sense for me to share my things to do list, then you can see if
there is anything you can give me a hand with. I'll also be posting my book
here, when it is a little closer to completion to get your comments. This
is a discussion list, so we can keep each other up to date on progress
reports.

As mentioned, I am presently doing a massive update on FST, complete
redesign including adding some things that were to be included originally,
but never got done before... experiences, homework assignments, and ..?

   Things to do:

*** The off-site links have always been problematic, due to the
transient nature of the web many great links are now dead, and I have
nearly given up on trying to keep them up to date. My solution is:

1.) Use more links from my own sites, Domin8rex.com, K-teacher and the
Kundalini gateway, and the tea room archives. That way I can be sure they
will stay active.

2.) Write to the people whose links still work, and ask if they will
allow me to mirror their page on my site, so even if their page goes down
the content won't be lost.

So, if anyone is interested in link-finding and asking permissions... it
is a big job but perhaps it can be split into sections. Finding the dead
links is easy, I have a program that will check the whole site at once and
I can post the result here.

What I need, are new links to replace the dead ones... with priority
given to pages on my other sites, listed in my sig... that way I can be
sure they don't go down! Especially the K-list archives...

Links on other sites are good too.. if the page can be mirrored on my
site. Have to write the author and ask permission to do so.

So basically, the job involves doing web searches on each FST lesson
topic, or keywords and finding pages that relate to the topic of that lesson.

Send me back an ordered list, with the title of the lesson the link is
for, the url of the link, the title of the linked page and maybe a line or
two of what the page is about.

*** I'm also looking for a new category of links, from my sites.
People's experiences of each lesson, or K-list archive posts related to the
topic, that are experiences.

*** I'm also finally filling in the "experiences" section of each
lesson, copying experiences from the tea room archives, and while it states
in the tea room that all posts become property of FST, I think I should
still ask the author's permission, and find out whether they want to be
anonymous, use their username or their real name.

If you are finding experiences links, email the author of the one you
think is most appropriate to include as text in the lesson and ask
permission. If the email address is not in the post, email me and if they
are using their FST username I can look up the email address in my member
list.

*** Another task, is testing all the "next" and "previous" buttons at
the bottom of each lesson page, and comparing it with the lesson list in
the FST preview. I'm pretty sure all the "next" buttons work OK, but it is
possible some lessons are missed or out of order, so they need testing anyhow.
Scott recently wrote to me that when he clicked on the "previous" button
on lesson 20 it took him to lesson #40! So surf all the way forward on the
lesson links, then all the way backwards, comparing it to the lesson list,
and let me know where there are errors.

*** Yet another task is checking all the video and audio links.

To make your work easier, here is a secret link!
http://www.fire-serpent.com/tantra/fstindex.html

Do not share it with other students.
This is a secret index page I use to check individual lessons when
someone asks a question. You will note the link to the grad lesson is shown
here, but I hope you will all send me a grad essay when you are ready
anyhow, and not skip ahead and do the grad ritual. The magic might not work
for you if you are not adequately prepared, and initiations always work
best the first time... so you would cheat yourself, and you might get a
"Chinese curse" type bumpy ride if you try to do the ritual too soon.

You have no idea what a relief it is to have you all helping me with
this stuff. I have more work to do, that only I can do, than there are
hours in a day...

Like, I was gone for a week and came back to about 500 emails, and one
tea room post, which is actually less than an average week because I posted
notices in the tea room and on my web forms that I would be away... and
that is just email! Add to that, website updates, the books I am working
on, my sessions, making new anims and graphics for the updates, soap to
ship out, website bits that got broken in the last server move in Dec. that
I still have to fix, and now I have videos of the Kundalini intensive last
weekend I have not even had time to watch, and I still have to select and
edit bits and convert to realplayer or mp3 and post to the web...

Plus, at some point I am going to have to convert all the raw footage we
shot for the course back in 1999 to digital from VHS, because VHS is not
stable, it erodes with time. Then I have to re-edit it, and re-convert it
to realplayer or some other video format. Part of the problem with the
videos is that real-player format has changed a lot in the 5 years since
the videos were made by my ex-biz partner. I'll probably have to upgrade my
computer to do that, I think my computer at present does not have enough
juice to do video editing.

Vyana just posted asking if the videos can be converted to play sound on
an ipod.. great idea! No time to do it though... Someday I will have to
do FST level 2&3, but I honestly have no idea when... I've started on it a
few times, but other things come up.

Ya know, I usually don't itemize my things to do list like this, because
looking it over is so daunting it makes me want to give up and go back to
bed! Oy!
