   Hell, yeah!

An ongoing problem with me, too.

That one is easy. I can do that, generated automatically by Xenu link
tester and sorted by page and link. I have one ready, diced it to usable
bits and posted some bits already.
   Download Xenu:

  Yay.

The helper can have a fire-serpent.com email address... or even just a
personality that redirects mail to those involved with the project. Let me
know what you need, my account has unlimited addresses.

Three versions, now that some old dead links can be found through the
time machine at web.archive.org. Personally, I use many custom sig files
for a lot of form notes, like how to set up an appointment, or the "please
snip" reminders I send to some K-list members.

1.) Pages recovered with time travel.
   Hello:
I am assisting with updating the links pages at www.fire-serpent.com,
The Fire Serpent Tantra Kundalini Mystery School. A link to your page was
included in the additional reading/research section of some of the course
lessons, and it was missed when the page went down. We have recovered your
page and would like to continue to use it to educate the students by
mirroring it on our site, in a special reading room library archive
section. We would be glad to credit you as you request, including a
javascript spam protected email link.
Please respond and let us know if we may do this. Thank you!

2.) Links that still work.
   Hello:

included in the additional reading/research section of some of the course
lessons. We would like to continue to use it to educate the students by

section. We would be glad to credit you as you request, including a

3.) Reciprocal links: This is a separate category, annually I do a search
on my domain, etc. and find out who has linked their site to mine. The
reciprocal links go on the main links page.

Hello:
Thankyou for linking to my site.
I am in the process of assembling a reciprocal links page.

    Blessings, Mystress.
   etc. etc.

There is a rough draft, anyhow...

>2.4 Review the results of #2.1, so folks don't get multiple requests.

yup, best to compile a webmaster list, and one person sends the emails.

>2.5 Write to the folks of #2.1.
>2.6 Submit results of permissions received.

whoever is finding pages to mirror, save a copy of the site on your
first visit.
file>save as>web page complete saves it to a tidy folder. Use the url as
the filename so we can keep them straight, rename them to something more
unix-friendly and readable as we get permission to mirror. The mirrored
pages will go to fire-serpent.org/library. Not yet created...

>3.1 Identify the highest lesson number each helper is on.

yup, I do not want helping with the page to interfere in your progress on
the course.

>3.2 Distribute the 59 topics per a) helper interest and b) lesson
>progress. (for example, the sub-team might want to all focus a web

>the sub-team might divy up the load too, so all lessons are getting

Best to divvy a few lessons each, otherwise many people will be finding
the same links.
Remember: We only need a few good ones. 20 is too many, a dozen is good,
but fewer good ones is perfectly ok.

>3.3 Generate a template for search results (i.e., I envision the

   Easy:

<br><a href="http://www.putURLhere.com/" target="link_window">This is the
link title</a> Are there notes to put here?

Note: code bits won't show up if you have your mail reader set to read
html. If all you are seeing is the link title and not the code and the url
then change your settings...

  Cool! :)

Not so far.. but many of the links in the preview have already been
repaired in the updated version.

>(compare

If folks don't mind the traffic, post results to this list for team
comparison. This list is setup to allow attachments, so we can share files
and work in progress.

I can also provide sitemaps to all pages on the site, etc.

I could post the xenu list of all tea room posts with the subject here,
if it would make hunting easier. The tea room search engine works well,
though, much better than the K-list archive search. The tea room has about
3000 posts but the K-list is around 32,000... or is it 35,000? Haven't
counted recently. It will increase a lot when I get the digests converted.
That will simplify the searching too.

Right. I think it would be best if one other person has FTP access, to
actually upload new files and help me edit the ones I am working on.
Sachiko, do you have time for stuff like that?

I am also going to invite Hillary and Richard to join this list. They
have been helping in the past, and Hillary has the cpanel access info I
have been trying to find to give to Sachiko! Richard converted the K-list
digests to individual emails for me, and both of them have a backup copy of
my sites on CD.

>6.3 ---project end?!--- =)

I do not forsee the ending coming sooner than a few months, but I am
thinking of the overall project, the FST update.
