Probably there is not a directive in the htaccss file for that folder, yet.
I used the htaccess for the main fire-serpent.com folder, and the old
site does not use SSI, except for the e-cards, which are newer.
I thought I mentioned before, that I really prefer to do the SSI by
search and replace when the site is done, so the missing bits do not
confuse me when I am editing the page on my hard drive.
It works very well. I open all the pages of a site, because homesite
does not re-save when you "search all open documents" I can see which ones
are missed, and do another search to fix them, then "Save all" and go onto
the next. Snip the code, make it into an include file, save it, make the
include link and search and replace to spread the change to the other files.
I hate to rein in your enthusiasm, but ... You are getting a little
ahead of me, please be patient with the dumb self taught webgeek mystress.

It looks good. Can we leave it like that for now, no SSI yet? Please?
I'll gladly do it myself, at the end.
It is important to me and it probably sounds dumb and inefficient to
you, and I dunno how to express the "why" of it, in words.
My resistance to SSI in the template is a tight stone in my power
chakra warning "don't do it, not now not yet. Later!"
I usually just listen to that warning, I am not accustomed to having to
give someone a reason why ... Goddess telling me "no" in my gut, is reason
enough for me.
I asked you before to wait with the SSI and you disregarded it because
there seemed to be no reason and now you are working on it and wanting a
reason and I have no words...
Some of the magic I do, I can teach others to do and some I just do and
it is an art I do not know how to pass on. I do it by following instinct
and inspiration. It is intuitive, tied in with the art and magic of the
course itself, as a vibrational energy structure. Coding Shakti, telepathic
and vibrational information into a web page is weird talent, and it is the
true core of FST. The energy of the site, teaches... not the design, or
the words. Those are just the carrier frequency.
If chunks of the page are missing it just does not feel the same, I
cannot get a wholistic impression of the page. I cannot do what I do so
well, on a page that has been torn to bits. See... I cannot explain it but
I must insist on it.
Anyhow, in the material world, I have a feeling we will end up
converting more bits of the page to SSI before we are done. Sandra D. seems
to have ambitous plans and I do not know what they entail. Perhaps she can
explain it to both of us, then both of you can explain it to me?
This is a small thing, but we will have to work it out, especially with
many people working on the same page.
. While working on a page, I have it arranged as you do, with the code
and table data all indented and laid out so I can see what I am doing...
but I compress the code and take out almost all the spaces in a table while
sorting the includes, before it goes live.
Spaces in tables give errors on many browsers, especially netscape,
which is strict. Dunno how many times I have checked a page in netscape,
and the table error turned out to be a space between </td> <td> or
something equally stupid.
I assist the comprehension of compressed code, with abundant comment
tags and some white space around the actual content. The code really stops
being readable once the SSI tags go in, anyway.

Yes. fireserpentc/cards/.htaccess has the code for it...
I can update the htaccess.
