I figured that out already. thank you.

Yes you did tell me that you would like to work on footer SSI later.
I do remember that. That's why I have created this file.
http://www.fire-serpent.org/fscnew/tantra/00_template.html

I just had a feeling that there might be problem with SSI, so I
created
several version of files to tested out.

The first thing that I thought it there might be problem was actually
wasn't... it just needed to add some setting in htaccess so that the
SSI file with html extention would work. That was taken care of
already.

Now, I'm haveing real problem is that when the file is loaded without
SSI, it look fine. As you can see here.
http://www.fire-serpent.org/fscnew/tantra/00_template.html

But, when the file is loaded with SSI, then it's gets wired....
http://www.fire-serpent.org/fscnew/tantra/00_template.shtml

These two files are exactly the same file with different extention.
Just show the difference....

The line with file location
"This page is located at http://www.fire-serpent.com"
and earth1.jpg is gone.....

I don't think you are dumb at all. I am basicly self taught, too. I
just have experience actually working as web designer for a while
actually working on project and teaching others how to work
with software and project.

Of course. As you wish.

I did not disregard what you said, I do have created the file with no
footer SSI file. As I mentioned before. Some SSI to get last updated
date and the page location thing was already there. I did not add
them.

As I mentioned earlier in this email, I had some feelings there might
be some attention needed to SSI section of the file. So, I created
copy of above file and I was testiong SSI.

As you can probably see(unless it's browser problem) in those
files there are some problem with SSI, which is not even anything
to do with separating footer.

You don't have to explain. or I should say,,,you have explained
enough. Maybe, I didn't explain what I was doing. Sorry about
the confusion and stress that it created to you. I actually felt it on
my stomach as I read this email.

Some of the coding can be very sensitive. I've had that one space too
much experience before... It took foreverrrrrrr to figure out the
problem was the one little space.
