Carrying on with the "don't eat the soap" theme, I was inspired to make a series of cakes of soap that look like cake!
Soap cakes are all hot process soap, cooked until it is fully processed then molded into a metal springform cake pan. The "icing" has been whitened with titanium dioxide, and whipped enough to have a bit of air in it. I haven't tested it yet but I think the slices will float right way up. Cake slices are big, 5-7 oz. The wreath cakes were molded into a silicon bundt cake pan. Smaller slices, about 3.5 oz. The kitchen soaps were made first, molded into jello molds.
